Auto Backwash Activated Carbon Water Filter connects to the main line of your
home and filters all the incoming water to it, including water that runs
through your shower and bath. The whole house activated carbon water
filter is the perfect companion for a water
softener system and it may be installed in municipal or well water. When
the activated carbon auto backwash water filter is installed in well
water, sand media is added to improve performance. The activated carbon
filter is used after chlorination of your well or air injection treatment.
The activated carbon filter is the final touch in any water application. With proper installation it is warranty to
remove the following contaminants resulting in a healthier more pure
water.

A group of organic chemicals, suspected of being carcinogenic.

The Carbon Water Filter Systems are
equipped with FleckŪ 5600 or Fleck 2500 Control Valve depending
on the size of the mineral tank for optimal performance. When placing your
order for a whole house activated carbon filter, please take in
consideration whether it will be storage in a municipal or well water
application. If the activated carbon water filter will be used for well
water applications, please select the models ending on FM. Sizing
your activated carbon backwash filter To correctly size your
activated carbon filter, you will need to know the water flow coming from
your well. Please look at the backwash rate included in each specific model. The water flow in your well will need to be greater than the
backwash rate requirements of the activated carbon filter. The
activated carbon media should operate in water with ph level of 6.6 to
8.4.
